Serve Day will last August 1-2, 2026. Instead of gathering in the Worship Center for a regular Sunday service, our whole congregation will be going into our local communities to show the love of Jesus through tangible acts of service! There will be a number of service projects for our volunteers to choose from, which will meet the needs of local schools, non-profits, and other parts of our East Bay communities.

Serve Day projects will take place throughout the East Bay, including Castro Valley, San Leandro, Hayward, Pleasanton, Oakland, and surrounding communities. Together, we’ll partner with local organizations to serve our neighbors in practical and meaningful ways.
Projects will fall into three main categories:
Relational Care – Spend time encouraging and caring for others through visits to senior communities, connecting with local residents, and serving people in personal and meaningful ways.
Cleaning & Beautification – Help refresh schools, neighborhoods, and community spaces through landscaping, painting, organizing, clean-up projects, and other hands-on efforts.
Assembly Line Projects – Work together to pack meals, assemble care packages, prepare supplies, and support local organizations through team-based service projects.
Everyone will be able to sign up in advance for the project that best fits their interests and abilities.Everyone will be able to sign up in advance for any one of the available projects.

Our goal is to primarily serve throughout the community and off campus. If you are able, we encourage you to sign up for an off-campus project and join us for the rally sunday at 8:30am! This helps create more opportunities for families with young children and those with mobility challenges to participate in our on-campus projects.
